Meet the Coaches
Who We Are

Coach Greg Gehlhoff
Founder & Head Coach
A father of four and Pueblo native who has a true passion for growing the mountain biking community in Pueblo. Having seen the huge positive impact mountain biking has had on his life and the lives of his family, he did what it took to create a fantastic athletic opportunity through the Colorado Cycling League, for the youth of the Pueblo region. Having worked with kids of all ages in many settings, and being a skilled mountain bike coach it was just the final step to combine the two passions, and complete a life goal. We do what we can to make our world a little better. This team is what he chose to contribute to our home.
Coach Candis Massingill
Candis discovered mountain biking in college. She began racing with the Abilene Bike Club in 2013, starting with road races and then later cross country mountain bike races, and mountain bike marathon races. For her, one of the most important aspects of mountain biking has always been the camaraderie with teammates and fellow racers. She also currently plays ice hockey with a women’s team based out of Pueblo. Married to John Wooldridge, they moved to Beulah in 2021 and began coaching for the Pueblo Composite team when their son raced in 2023. Candis works as a pharmacist in Pueblo.

Coach John Wooldridge
John is a lifelong endurance athlete, starting with track and cross country in high school. His first mountain bike was a fully rigid Mongoose Hilltopper from the late 80’s which he rode on cow paths in fields. After a hiatus from cycling, he began to ride again in 2011 and began racing in 2013. He has raced in many cycling disciplines including road and cyclocross in addition to cross country mountain biking. He currently resides in Beulah with his wife, Coach Candis, where he works as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry. He became a coach with Pueblo Composite in 2023 to support his son.
